TAE Europe at Alimentaria 2024

From 18 to 21 March, we attended Alimentaria, the leading international food and beverage trade fair which took place at the Fira de Barcelona. In this new edition, the event was attended by 3,200 exhibiting companies, a quarter of which were international, reaffirming its position as a benchmark event worldwide. More than 100,000 visitors from 120 different countries gathered to explore the latest trends and establish key industry connections.

As experts in agri-food M&A, TAE Europa is committed to participating in events that drive innovation and progress in our industry. The experience at Alimentaria 2024 has provided us with valuable insight into the latest trends and developments.

In this edition, it became evident that the future of food is driven by protein. They also highlighted the plant-based alternatives, and sustainable pakaging, reflecting the sector's evolution towards healthier and more environmentally friendly alternatives. In addition, technological developments, including the artificial intelligenceare revolutionising the field.

During our participation in the event, and after talking to various actors in the agri-food sector, we highlighted the remarkable adaptability of the sector to current challenges.We are convinced that this sector has the potential to grow in the coming years, including those related to climate, technological capabilities, new competitors in other geographic areas and the costs of raw materials. We are convinced that this sector has a extremely promising future.

We bid farewell to Alimentaria with the certainty that the future of food is being shaped on the basis of the innovation and commitment to sustainability.
